It is with heavy heart that once again, due to COVID and the restrictions, we have again with difficulty, decided to cancel the 2021 Bairnsdale Show.

This year we had decided that the Bairnsdale Show would be a great way to bring the community together and have a little fun with the family after such trying times – drought, bushfires and Corona Virus.

 The Show was to showcase everything East Gippsland has to offer and the resilience of this great community. We were offering half price entry tickets along with many free activities and entertainment to encourage people to step out for the day and have a day of fun with friends and family. We have been working very hard to try and include things of interest for all ages, for everyone to enjoy.

Unfortunately the best laid plans don’t always come to fruition and we have had to cancel what was looking to be our best Show yet.

We would like to sincerely thank the Bairnsdale Community for stepping up and coming together to save this event and we would like to thank all the sponsors this year for offering their support and sponsorship and incredibly most have agreed to remain sponsors for the 2022 Show. We have had an amazing response from the sponsors this year, this is the first time we have managed to find sponsorship for every single section of the schedule and most of the events that run throughout the day!

I personally would like to thank everyone on the committee for their ongoing hard work, there is always a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes and this year has been no different. Subcommittees have been busy in each of their area’s and for the past 3 months we have been working tirelessly on this year’s sponsors and schedule – the layout, sponsors logos, events, entertainment and entry forms. We had already booked some great entertainment for the day – stunt show from Queensland, racing car driving simulator, children’s entertainers and so much more – they have all been contacted and they have all agreed to continue to support us for next year’s Show.

To say the committee is extremely disappointed is an understatement but we hope all the hard work that has already been done can be rolled over to the 2022 Show and we look forward to making 2022 the greatest Bairnsdale Show yet.
